Becca Music, a Christian events company founded in 2007 held an event dubbed as “Blog The Beat,” held at Roof Deck Function Room of Prestige Tower in Ortigas.

The event invite says, “Dear blogger, Your passion is influential, Your words are influential. Because of this, Becca Music, Inc. wants YOU to have a first look at what we have in store! Just in case you haven’t heard yet, SWITCHFOOT, one of the greatest alternative rock bands today, will be LIVE on stage at the PhilSports Arena this April 30, 2011! BLOG THE BEAT will tell you more about what you can look forward to, and will ultimately bring you to that concert!” This excites me, so I gamely agreed.

The event says it’s 6PM, but I arrived there 7PM :’(

That’s the result of my slowness, the rush hour traffic and didn’t look up the venue in Google Maps beforehand, which I always do before an event. I arrived at the last part of the event, the host is already thanking all the attendees. Good thing I saw Ed Arevalo of MusicPH.com and Cathy Copaway of Chinese Na Makulit, the only two people I know during the event. I’ve met Najee Chua too, she’s the Marketing & Promotions Associate of Becca Music Inc.
