Star Cinema held a blogcon for its latest movie offering “THE MISTRESS” last Wednesday, at the 14th floor of ELJCC Building. The Mistress is directed by Olivia Lamasan, starring Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. This movie also marks the 10th anniversary of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's partnership as a love team.
Completing the main casts are Ronaldo Valdez and Hilda Koronel. With supporting cast: Anita Linda, Carmi Martin, K Brosas, Tony Mabesa, Gabe Mercado, Minne Aguilar, Nor Domingo and Clarence Delgado.
Described as an "imperfect love story" this movie features Bea Alonzo at her bravest and most daring role yet. Playing the title role as the mistress named Sari, the movie required Bea Alonzo to have kissing and love scenes with an older man played by veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez, who once played Bea Alonzo's father in the TV series I Love Betty La Fea.
Aside from the catchy phrase from Ms. Hilda Koronel that goes like this, "Tagalog na 'yan. Para maintindihan mo!" that was on the loop before the event started, Bea Alonzo also said, "You cannot seduce a happy husband" during the bloggers conference which really makes sense. The makers of this film assured us that this is not your ordinary mistress movie!
The last two movie I saw from Star Cinema are The Healing & Amorosa, which are horror films, so I'm gonna watch this for sure. I want LOVE story this time ;-) I've watched John Lloyd & Bea's last two film namely One More Chance and Miss You Like Crazy and really excited on this one. Not the usual love story!
“THE MISTRESS” is Graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board! Opens tomorrow in nearly 200 theaters nationwide!
