CashSense.com - Online Shopping Experience

Cashsense is pleased to announce that after less than 10 weeks marketing, it has become the largest online shopping mall in the Philippines hosting over 70 online merchants.

This has been an educational period for Cashsense and for the merchants that we have been working closely with. With online selling still, relatively speaking, languishing in its infancy, we are pleased to take a step back and look at some fundamental principles that have been emerging.

1. Just like bricks and mortar counterparts, shoppers will browse but only if navigational paths are easy and intuitive and products are clearly displayed and priced.
2. Shoppers would generally like to know what they can expect inside the store before they enter.
3. The easier it is for a shopper to buy, the more likely they will spend money. i.e. provide a “Buy Now” button, a shopping cart and a payment gateway
4. Items must be priced. Not many browsers like to obligate themselves by early price negotiations.

The single biggest issue that merchants have to address, perhaps – should they wish to reach out to a larger audience – is that of brand, or more accurately, merchant recognition. Although many of our online sellers have store names that accurately reflect the contents likely to be found within, some do not. This significantly reduces the likelihood of prospective shoppers venturing inside.

If shoppers do not immediately recognize a merchant, they are less likely to browse. Many merchants have an attractive range of items for sale but, if potential shoppers do not visit them, they simply will not be able to sell. Cashsense has, therefore, re-organized its online shopping mall so that shoppers can view a range of categorized items and be guided to the appropriate merchant as they enter the mall.

Accordingly, Cashsense is pleased to announce the change in look and feel to its website which will, from the week commencing March 7th, feature, primarily, well-known goods and items.

In addition, we are pleased to announce – for Facebook merchants – the commissioning and building of a freely available Facebook App which will allow an easy-to-use and intuitive interface allowing online shoppers to easily complete their purchases.

  1. Cool Stuff... I do agree about the site navigation, it's one thing that customers consider, a good description of products, a clear Price and product reviews.
