The 12th Annual Padyakan sa BATAAN


Kick-starting the 75th Year of Commemorating the Day of Valor, The Province of Bataan held the much awaited 12th Annual 'Padyakan sa Bataan' in Karagatan Bay View Peaks in Alas-asin, Mariveles. Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello ConcepcionMutya ng Mariveles 2017 winners and Miss Bataan 2016 Ambassadress of Investment and Industries Ms. Charlene Versoza graced the said event.


Bataan is a province situated in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. Its capital is the City of Balanga. Occupying the entire Bataan Peninsula on Luzon, Bataan is bordered by the provinces of Zambales and Pampanga to the north. The peninsula faces the South China Sea to the west and Subic Bay to the north-west, and encloses Manila Bay to the east. 


This is the start of #75thArawNgKagitingan celebration with lots of scheduled activities starting April 2 until April 10, 2017 happening in key location in Bataan. Noted activities includes Bataan Seafood Festival in Vista Mall (Apr 6); Parade of AFP Band in Plaza Mayor (April 8); Parade of Floats in Pilar and Parangal sa Beterano in Balanga (April 8); Araw ng Kagitingan Commemoration in Mt. Samat (April 9); Concert and Grandest Pyrotechnics in Plaza Mayor, Balanga (April 9) and Freedom Trail 160KM Ultra Marathon/ Relay/ Bike Tour from Mariveles to San Fernando all the way to Capas, Tarlac. (April 10)


The 12th Annual 'Padyakan sa Bataan' was joined by almost 700 bicycle enthusiasts from all over the Philippines. The annual bike race drew hundreds of riders, athletes and enthusiasts from other provinces like Rizal, Cavite and Bulacan. Professional teams and riders from Pasig, Taytay, San Juan, Antipolo, Taguig, San Mateo, Quezon City, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Mandaluyong, Novaliches, Angono, Angeles, Porac and Caloocan also came, some even from as far as Baguio and Baler, Aurora. There are categories open for all age type, whether your a kid who wants to race with a push bike or a 60+ year old who wants to race with bikers with the same age bracket. The numbers have been doubled compared to the bike race participants last year. The 12th Annual Padyakan sa Bataan has no registration fee. Cash prizes and specially designed medals awaits the Top 3 winners for each category.

Karagatan Bay View Peaks is also a perfect spot to watch the sunset in Mariveles, Bataan.
