MAGGI “Sarap Sustansya sa Tag-ulan” with Panlasang Pinoy & Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Plant Industry

Top food brand MAGGI through its flagship program MAGGI Sarap Sustansya Advocacy joined forces with Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Plant Industry and food content creator Vanjo Merano of Panlasang Pinoy to inspire Filipino homecooks to create nutritious, delicious, and affordable meals and to promote food security and sustainability through a unique public-private partnership.

The day started with an educational planting demo in Brgy. Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna led by Ms. Niña R. Rosales, Agriculturist II of Department of Agriculture Bureau of Plant Industry - Los Baños National Crop Research, Development and Production Support Center (DA BPI-LBNCRDPSC), attendees learned valuable techniques for cultivating vegetables in both conventional plots and containers. The group harvested fresh eggplant, okra, upland kangkong, and bush sitao.

Mr. Vanjo Merano from the website / Youtube channel Panlasang Pinoy together with Ms. Raine Romero of Maggi Philippines presented a live cooking demo in front of selected parents from Brgy. Mayondon in Los Baños, Laguna. They witnessed firsthand the potential of urban agriculture. where they showcased delicious farm-to-table dishes prepared with MAGGI products and the vegetables harvested from the garden itself, proving the concept's practicality. Chef Erik of Maggi also joined the culinary spotlight.

Maggi Philippines and DA-BPI aims to ignite a passion for urban agriculture, and to empower the attendees to explore the possibilities of growing their own sustainable food sources. MAGGI “SARAP SUSTANSYA SA TAG-ULAN” will go around the Philippines to promote this advocacy.
