Ortigas Land welcomes the holiday season with annual Lights at The Park

Coming together as one has been a common theme for this year for the country. Since the start of 2020, the Filipino community has been faced with challenging situations brought by unprecedented times, but the spirit of solidarity has kept the nation afloat.

Inspired by every Filipino’s generosity and selflessness, premier real estate developer Ortigas Land heralds the holiday season in Capitol Commons through a unique light installation paying homage to every Filipino who has played their role in supporting communities in need.

Starting November 21, 2020, Ortigas Land brings back the well-loved annual “Lights at the Park” to provide visitors of Capitol Commons a safe open space where they can come together with families, friends and loved ones to celebrate the holiday spirit.

Following the yearly tradition of picture-worthy installations, this year’s “Lights at the Park” will feature customized frames with geometrical patterns inspired by two Filipino themes: the parol — the classic Filipino Christmas lanterns—and the idea of kapit-bisig — the spirit of Filipino solidarity where people come together. The installations consist of a light and shadow play of people holding hands, and the Filipino Christmas lantern design.

Zenas Events and Floral Stylist, the supplier behind the installation, describes the design to exude ethnic patterns from the Ilocos woven fabric—the Inabel—and from the Mindanao and the T-Boli tribe. The stars, inspired by the Christmas parols which are commonly attributed to Pampanga, also highlight hope for a brighter future for the country.

Coming together in Capitol Commons for the holiday season

Beyond the picture-worthy installations, Capitol Commons has a lot in store for those who wish to celebrate in the estate.

While joining the festivities of Lights at the Park, visitors can enjoy the breath of fresh air as they take a relaxing walk at the Park and enjoy the installation. The numerous restaurants found in Gastro and Estancia mall will be a good way for people to come together with their loved ones as a way to celebrate the holidays while upholding strict safety protocols.

Those who are in the spirit of gift-giving will enjoy holiday shopping in Estancia as the mall has numerous offerings, providing options for every Filipino.

The Capitol Commons “Lights at the Park” installations will be lit starting November 21, 2020 until January 17, 2021, from 6 to 11 PM. For more information and updates, please visit and follow Capitol Commons on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/capitolcommonsortigas).
