Good news! UAE-based LuLu Group International, the #1 hypermarket chain in Middle East, recently unveiled its state-of-the-art logistics and export center in Calamba Premier International Park Laguna via May Exports Philippines, Incorporated.

The inauguration was attended by Indian billionaire, Yusuff Ali M.A., the Chairman and Managing Director of LuLu Group International that owns the Lulu Hypermarket chain worldwide and LuLu International Shopping Mall. Also in attendance is Mr. Jose Gabriel Lavina, Under Secretary, Dept of Agriculture, Ambassador Amable Aguiluz, Philippine President’s Special envoy to GCC countries, His Excellency Hamad Saeed Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador, His Excellency Jaideep Mazumdar, Indian Ambassador, Mayor Timmy Chipeco of Calamba City and other dignitaries.

"We are working closely with the Philipine Economic Zone Authorty (PEZA) to boost our export of these products from the Philippines to our Hypermarkets spread across Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, Malaysia and Indonesia”, he said. "We have already started exporting about US$10million worth of fruits, vegetables and other commodities from the Philippines through our new facility, which will be increased to US$30 million within a year’, added Yusuffali.

At present, Lulu Group’s total trade volume of Filipino products stands at US$ 35 Million which includes Import and Local purchase. Currently, Lulu Group employs more than 5.200 Filipinos in its Hypermarkets across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar & Malaysia.
