Glorietta, AMCI team up in annual blood donation drive for PCMC

AMCI Mountaineering Club, Inc. is teaming up with Glorietta for the 2016 run of its annual blood donation drive for the benefit of Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC).

“AMCI is not just mountaineering non-profit. We also organize a number of activities to assist far flung mountain communities and other Manila-based organizations through various forms of community service. We are glad to be partnering with Glorietta and PCMC for this drive,” says Atty. Joshua Castro, AMCI President.

PCMC is the biggest tertiary care facility for children in the country. It runs the Pediatric Blood Center (PedBC), created under the National Voluntary Blood Services Program (NVBSP) of the Department of Health and is aligned with World Health Organization’s global strategy to establish a nationally-coordinated blood banking system.

The blood donation drive takes place on December 04 (Sunday), 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Glorietta 5 Atrium.

Those who wish to participate are advised to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep and eat breakfast before proceeding to the venue. They are also requested not to drink alcohol at least 24 hours- and not to smoke at least 4 hours before donating.
