Dingdong Dantes optimistic about the success of "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles"

Kapuso primetime royalty Dingdong Dantes is very optimistic about the success of his horror film, "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronices," which hit nationwide theatres beginning today.

The movie, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Erik Matti, is pioneering in its use of digital set extension via chroma key or "green screen" technology in all of its sequences. The film, arguably the biggest horror film of 2012, is shot entirely in green screen and utilises a combination of live action footage and three-dimensional computer graphics (CG).

In his rounds of radio promotions for the film starting with GMA's flagship radio stations DZBB (AM) and Barangay LS 97.1 (FM), Dantes expressed pride for his film, which took more than a year to create.

"Very entertaining talaga yung pelikula. Bukod sa pagiging isang horror film niya, nandun din ang action at comedy, at makikita mo rin sa pelikula yung true Filipino values pagdating sa pamilya, and definitely, it's an eye candy," Dingdong said.

"Tiktik" also stars Lovi Poe, Joey Marquez, Janice de Belen, LJ Reyes, Ramon Bautista, RJ Salvador, Mike Gayoso, Montito Almario, Jeff Fernandez, John Harley, Cris Pastor, Roi Vinzon and Rina Reyes.

The film is produced by five production outfits namely Reality Entertainment, Agostodos Pictures (owned by Dingdong Dantes), Reality Entertainment’s sister companies and post-production arms PostManila and Mothership and GMA Films.

Watch out for the biggest horror movie of the year -- "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" -- now showing. The film is rated PG by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), meaning children below 13 years old may watch the movie as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
