Wear our very own Juan Dela Cruz Hat made of Buntal Fiber and painted with the Philippine Flag in celebration of the 113th Independence Day only at SM City Baliwag

Flags will fly day in and day out during the 113th Independence Day Celebration at SM City Baliwag on June 12, 2011. Start the day with head held high as you sing the Philippine National Anthem with the Barasoain Camerata Philippines Chorale for the traditional Flag Raising Ceremony at 8:00 a.m.

Feel the festive mood with a cultural performance of the “Fiesta Suite” by Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School Dance Troupe. A mini-concert by the Bulacan Philharmonic Orchestra featuring kundiman and folklore songs will also be held to pay tribute to Filipino composers and heritage dancers.

Who said only Uncle Sam has a top hat? Visit the exhibit of the Giant Juan Dela Cruz Hat made of buntal fiber and painted with Philippine Flag and capture those “I’m proud to be Pinoy” moments. Likewise, head to the Event Center and avail of the “Makabayan Ako” Free Face Paint and bear our country’s symbol with pride.

As soon as the sun comes down, get ready to paint the sky with colors of red, blue and yellow in the Ceremonial Release of the Freedom Sky Lantern at 7 in the evening.

Moreover, shopaholics will surely unite on June 10, 11 and 12 as SM Department Store Baliwag holds an Independence Weekend Sale. Avail of great selections of up to 50% off. Earn points and get a chance to win 1 of 30 Samsung Galaxy Tabs when you shop using your SM Advantage Card or BDO Rewards Card.

Gear up for a fun-filled weekend in celebration of our nation’s freedom only at SM City Baliwag!
