Fire Safety Drill and Seminar at SM

Thousands of people troop to shopping malls to spend quality time with their family everyday. At SM, customer safety is a top priority and one way of expressing it is through Fire Safety Awareness activities.

To prime the mall employees and building occupants of fire incidents, SM City Baliwag joins the nation in the observance of Fire PreventionMonth with a Seminar on Fire Safety Measures happening on March 8, 2011, Tuesday, 8 a.m. at the Event Center.

Mr. Antolin Paule, SM Supermall’s Senior Assistant Vice President for Safety & Security Affairs will enlighten the participants on the mall’s fire safety issues. Representatives from the Municipal Fire Bureau will orient the audience on the importance of teamwork and proper coordination to ensure the safety of shoppers.

Moreover, a Fire Drill Exercise is set to take place on March 11, 2011, Friday, 10 a.m. Expected to observe and evaluate the drill are theProvincial and Municipal Fire Bureau, Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council (PDCC) and Philippine National Red Cross – Bulacan(PNRC). Major anchors like SM Department Store, SM Hypermarket, Ace Hardware and SM Appliance Center as well as other tenants will take part in the said activity.

Located along DRT Highway in Baliwag town, the mall’s 61,000 square meter building houses more than 300 shops.
