BLOG-PH is invited at the grand press conference of Bulong, the first movie offering of Star Cinema for the year 2011. This is held at the Dolphy Theater at the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City.

The Grand Press Conference is attended by the lead characters in the movie, Vhong Navarro, Angelica Panganiban and Bangs Garcia. The director for the said film, Chito Rono arrived late ;)

Bulong is directed by master storyteller Chito S. Roño who gave us horror gems Feng Shui, Sukob and T2. I can remember when Kris Aquino said (in a press conference for her movie, Dalaw) that Chito Rono was supposed to helm her MMFF entry but decided to give it to other because the director is finishing this movie, Bulong.


The three were asked if "Matatakutin ba kayo?" by someone from the press people since this movie deals with scary things. Angelica Panganiban replied,"Ako po, hindi naman. Depende po siguro sa pananakot ng patay. Siguro kung medyo paramdam lang ng konti.. or yung naka smile naman siya manakot. Mas natatakot pa po ako sa buhay,na alam mong may kapasidad na gawin kang patay."

"Ako po, matatakutin po talaga ako." said Vhong Navarro. "Minsan po kase biglang tumatayo na lang yung balahibo ko." A reporter butt in and asked "Ngayon, kinikilabutan ka ba?" "Iba po kase tumatayo sakin, pag katabi ko tong dalawa." and then all three laughs.

 "Ako naman di ko masasabing matatakutin ako, said Bangs Garcia. "Although marami na rin akong experience na.. yun.. tumatayo yung balahibo ko pero wala naman akong nakikita pero i think part of life talaga yun" and then she just repeat what Angelica Panganiban. Before she end her answer, director Chito Rono arrived.

The director is asked if she thinks Vhong Navarro found a match with Angelica Panganiban, since Angelica also excelled in comedy movies just like Vhong. "Oo. I mean in terms of performance, both naman are very versatile."

BULONG is a story of certain folklore belief that your wish can come true when you whisper it to a dead person. Therefore here is a movie that tells you to “Be careful with what you wish for…You might just get…More than what you ask for”.

Bulong premieres on February 2, 2011 in cinemas all over the country!
