The Gift That Keeps on Giving: FOODPANDA Riders Gets Perks & Benefits

Foodpanda, in recognition of the hard work of its partner riders, has expanded its partnerships and business relations to offer enhanced motorcycle, gasoline, etc. perks and benefits for its partner riders’ work and everyday expenses

In an effort to recognize the hard work and the efforts of its partner riders, foodpanda has now enhanced the perks and benefits that it extends to its partner riders. With the everyday heroes’ well-being in mind, foodpanda expanded its partnerships and business relations to offer its riders extensive rewards programs, incentives, and partnership discounts for their work and everyday expenses.

In total, foodpanda has partnered with 28 establishments who will provide the riders with perks and privileges that they can avail at partner establishments including gasoline stations Caltex and UniOil who offer discounts on gas per liter and lubricants; and motorcycle shops Ropali and Rusi who offer loan and discounts on cash installment payments. foodpanda riders who purchase a Rusi or Ropali motorcycle are entitled to a straight discount of P5,000 for cash payments, and a P400 monthly rebate for those who opt to pay in installments.

“Delivery riders are the everyday heroes of the pandemic. Despite the challenges that they face on the road amidst a pandemic, these riders continue to work without hesitation, knowing that people rely on them to get their meals,” said Daniel Marogy, Managing Director, foodpanda Philippines. “Apart from strengthening foodpanda’s position as a strong player in the country’s q-commerce industry, these partnerships with various businesses will also spell convenience and monetary benefits for one of the company’s important stakeholders--the riders.”

Through Panda Quest, a program that provides attractive incentives to top-performing riders, rewarded riders Last June with a Rusi motorcycle. “Nasa biyahe ako noong nalaman kong nanalo ako dahil minemention ako ng mga kaibigan ko sa aming group chat. Noong na-confirm ko, nagpasalamat agad ako sa Panginoon at tinawagan ang asawa ko para ibalita sa kanya ang good news,” John LLoyd Del Castillo, the top-performing rider of June and winner of the Rusi motorcycle, said. “Sobrang laking tulong ng motor na ito sa pang-araw-araw na pangkabuhayan naming pamilya lalo na’t malapit nang manganak ang aking asawa.”

Apart from the grand prizes that riders can win every month, daily incentives are also provided under a program called “Pandawards” to motivate them to do their best. They can claim daily rewards by simply accumulating points called “Bamboos” for good performance during a delivery. Among the items that can be claimed through the Kapanda app are jackets, helmets, rice, and more.

Ericson Laysico, who has claimed rewards multiple times, mentioned that the prizes he won helped him in his everyday work as a foodpanda rider.

“The items I have claimed from the incentives have helped me a lot, especially the jacket that served as my protection from the different kinds of weather that I encounter everyday. More than the incentives, however,  foodpanda, coupled with hard work and perseverance, has also been a big help in providing me and my family with an honest livelihood to survive our everyday needs,” Laysico said.

To ensure their health and ensure their protection against the virus, foodpanda also offers incentives to riders who get vaccinated. The company is giving P300 cash to the first 10,000 riders to show proof of vaccination, as well as the chance to win a TVS Dazz.

For some fun, riders can also engage in a rider-community-centric friendly esports competition under the Panda Legends event. Winners of this competition receive grand prizes.

“We recognize how our riders’ efforts have helped Filipinos cope with the challenges of this pandemic, by allowing them to enjoy meals that they can enjoy. To reward our riders for their hard work and keep them consistently motivated, foodpanda has drawn up several programs to benefit them. We will continue to expand these benefits to ensure the well-being of foodpanda riders as they serve fellow Filipinos,” Daniel Marogy concluded.
