#OnlyOneTutuban: Shopping Haven for Bargain Hunters

I recently participated in Tutuban Center's Millennial Bloggers Shopping Challenge. Each blogger was provided a budget and we should buy at least one item under each of these categories: school supplies, rainy days must have, OOTD items and sulit buys. We were given a budget of P1,000.00 each and its been months since I visited Tutuban Center so I'm really excited to find out what's new in the bargain hunter’s paradise.

This is quite challenging for me because I'm not that fast in shopping. Normally, I wander around the whole venue first, took pictures of items that I liked then I decide from there. Since this is a shopping challenge their is time constraint also.

Tutuban Center is a project of a historical proportion and dynamic impact. It introduced a modern commercial and business environment to the country’s wholesale and retail center. It's nice to see the original iron columns, now painted in green and the original terminal façade have been beautifully restored.

By taking the lead in introducing elements of modern facilities and management organization, Tutuban Center serves as a frontrunner in the upgrade and redevelopment of Divisoria. Tutuban Center is a pioneer and an expert in “cluster stores” operation and management.

A quick Google search reveals that Tutuban Center has been acquired by Ayala Land since November of last year. The future is bright for Tutuban since Ayala is known for their picturesque architecture and green spaces unlike others which are dense and boxy.

Tutuban Center has been known as a shopping haven for bargain hunters and a one-stop destination for all the shopping needs so I didn't think that I would have the hard time finding items for the categories mentioned above. I keep in mind that will only buy things that I can use.

I spent around 1 hour and a half before exhausting all the P1,000.00 alloted to me. First, I bought this long sleeves polo for P280.00 at first I chose the color gray but ended up buying the white one since I don't have any white polo. Most of my long sleeves are black ;) This is perfect because I have an upcoming event in Sofitel and I need something formal to wear.

Second purchase is this black and gray shorts for P150.00 each. The seller said this is originally P200.00 each. I actually wore the black short on a special movie screening of Wonder Women the next day. It feels so comfy and I don't have any regret buying it.

I even bought this black foldable umbrella, originally P200.00 but I haggled it down to just P150.00. I always bring umbrella with me, rain or shine. This one will be back-up if the one I'm currently using gives up on me.

My most favorite purchase is this black back pack. I've been eyeing to buy this since I saw one in Cubao for P450.00 but here in Tutuban its just P300.00! It's a nicely built back pack bag donning my favorite color and fits everything I needed going to work. Has a lots of pockets too and has a special compartment for laptops/tablets. I started using it right away.

Though there are many malls sprouting around Divisoria, this shopping challenge only proves that there is #OnlyOneTutuban and they can't be imitated. The air-conditioned shopping experience in a 20-hectare, secured one-stop shopping destination for all the things that you need. Tutuban is not just a shopping haven for bargain hunters, it's a part of our history too. I can't wait to go back again!

  1. Job hunters also can setup their own account, upload their resume, and setup notifications. And thanks to some retrofit technology that's along the way, it's effectively yesterday. Allowing consumers to find the charity, or even having a revolving set of charities, finds as a marketing incentive.
