Following the inauguration of One-Stop-Shop Government Service Express, SM Supermalls, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the city government recently launched the Negosyo Center at SM City San Jose del Monte last Wednesday, March 01.
The provision of Negosyo Centers in all provinces, cities, and municipalities under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development or MSMED Council, aims to foster national development, promote inclusive growth, and reduce poverty by encouraging the establishment of MSMEs that could facilitate local job opportunities.
According to DTI Regional Operations Group Undersecretary Zenaida C. Maglaya, it is important to reach out, deliver and bring the services closer to where MSME’s are. “We shouldn’t wait for them to knock on our offices’ door, we should bring our offices to them. Because once your business is registered, the government will determined your needs. So make it a habit to really find out exactly what the government could offer.” Maglaya even congratulate the city government and SM for establishing the 450th Negosyo Center at SM City San Jose del Monte.
Meanwhile, according to SCMC SM Supermalls Regional Manager for Operations Lea D. Casamayor, everything is really possible in public-private partnership. “We at SM Supermalls, hopes that in the years to come we can still be part of your projects for the city, and that you are always welcome here at SM City San Jose del Monte” Casamayor said.
Furthermore, Mayor Arthur Robes said that the city is very lucky to be partnered with SM and DTI for the establishment of Negosyo Center. “We are really striving to find a way to help not only our kababayans but also the business sector on how they will make their businesses more profitable. One of our dreams as your public servants is to show that San Jose del Monte will be the next rising city not only in the province of Bulacan but in the whole country as well.”
