20 companies was recently recognized by Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian for their significant role in shoring up the local government’s operations and development through their job generating businesses and tax payments during the 17th Charter Day Anniversary of the City Government of Valenzuela held at the City’s Astrodome.

“We value our partners” said Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian. “These taxpayers and job providers have played significant roles in attaining the economic prosperity and employment growth for the city’s remarkable progress over the years” Mayor Gatchalian added.

Awardees are grouped into Micro Companies, with capitalization of up to PhP 3 Million; Small Companies, with capitalization of more than PhP 3 Million to PhP 15 Million; Medium Companies, with capitalization of more than PhP 15 Million to PhP 100 Million; and Large Companies with capitalization of more than PhP 100 Million.

Among the 20 companies that were honored, SM Valenzuela bagged the top tax payer and top job provider awards for 2014. For nine years in a row, SM Valenzuela has consistently topped the list of Valenzuela’s revenue sources and job opportunities in the private sector. Joining the list of top taxpayers in Valenzuela City were Meralco, San Miguel Corporation, Maynilad Water Services Incorporated and Manila North Tollways Corporation.

Likewise, according to the city’s Public Employment Service Office Division Chief Luningning G. Martin, SM Valenzuela also remains the leading job creator, generating a total of 2,540 jobs from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. At least 10 companies were awarded for Top job provider that included CDO Foodsphere Inc, Multiplast Corporation, Multirich Foods Corporation, Pure Snacks Food House Corporation, Manly Plastics Inc, London Industrial Products Inc., Donutification Corporation, Dowi Hosieri Mills Inc., D.M Consunji Inc. and Wilcon Builder’s Depot Incorporated.
