HONDA Scoopy Philippines

BLOG-PH.com was present at the official Philippine launch of Honda Scoopy held at the 9th Street of Bonifacio High Street. The event, dubbed as “Scooter City” is hosted by the funny tandem of Magic 89.9 DJ’s Toni Tony and Sam YG.

Kutsahisa Yoda, the President & General Manager of Honda Philippines, together with Honda Scoopy official endorser in the Philippines, Ramon “RJ” Jacinto (Pinoy music icon) and Patti Grandidge (owner of ‘Sweet Patti Cakes’) also graced the launch of the latest high-end scooter.

Seeing the ‘Scoopy’ for the first time, it reminds me of those old school scooters that we see back in the days. Now that almost every household has its own scooter/motor bike, the entrance of ‘Scoopy’ will make the whole game more exciting. This one sure is different, because HONDA is already a trusted brand.

I actually asked some representative from Honda on why they call it as ‘Scoopy,’ I think at first that it’s because of the shape of the scooter. But not, they say that maybe it was name after the Mini Cooper.

ABS-CBN’s G-Force opened the evening with a fiery dance number!

Then the main host emerged from backstage, DJ Toni Tony & DJ Sam YG of Magic 89.9, Andi Manzano is actually the host of the program in the afternoon, which I didn’t get to watch. The two main hosts actually joked about a raffle of a Honda Scoopy among the audience, to the delight of many. But since I always see the two hosting events, I already knew that, they were only joking :)

HONDA SCOOPY PINOY ENDORSERS

While some others are head-scratching with RJ Jacinto and Patti Grandidge endorsing the newly launched scooters, I think RJ Jacinto fits the role because ‘Scoopy’ has this feel good 80’s vibe just like the singer, he sounds so laid-back like the Beach Boys.  But as for the owner of Sweet Patti Cakes, Hhmm. Maybe she's chosen because Scoopy are needed to delivered the goods to her costumers :D

HONDA SCOOPY THEME SONG & LYRICS

The first time I heard the official Pinoy theme song of Honda Scoopy, I immediately fell in love with this. LSS (last song syndrome) indeed! :)  This was performed by RJ Jacinto, one of the main endorsers of Scoopy.

WINNERS OF "THE SCOOTER PROJECT"

Honda Philippines also held a scooter-designing contest, where schools and universities around the metro participated. The Grand Prize Winner are from the University of Saint Thomas! They took home P50,000! Second Placer: University of the Philippines, Third Placer: Asia Pacific College and a consolation prize for College of Saint Benilde.

To end,  I would like to share this quotation, "Four wheels move the body.  Two wheels move the soul."

  1. The power scooters allow you to move through small spaces with ease and stability. It's also a safe kids scooter. But I want a kids scooter with more adorable look. Please share some more models for me. Thanks.
