Coffee Origins 2010

The Philippines’ only largest FREE coffee sampling show starts October 7 at the Greenbelt 5 Gallery. Organized by the Philippine Coffee Board and sponsored by Ayala Malls, the show is on its 14th year having started as “Black and White” in 1997 and renamed COFFEE ORIGINS in 2009. It is held annually every October to celebrate Coffee Month.

A long list of activities is set for the celebration which includes: Coffee Seminars, Coffee Farm Tours and Coffee Farming sessions. The 3rd National Coffee Summit is also held to cap the events on October 18, 2010 at the AIM Conference Center. At this gathering, coffee stakeholders review the year’s accomplishments in the industry and together they draw up the next year’s mission or goal. This year’s theme for the summit is “NEW PLANTINGS: OUR ANSWER TO COFFEE PRODUCTION CHALLENGES” and will be keynoted by Undersecretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat of the Department of Agriculture.
