SM City Marilao actively participated in the 2nd Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. The actual earthquake drill took place during regular mall hours. Evacuation and rescue drill simulations were carried out to increase and strengthen the mall’s Emergency Response Group (ERG) preparedness and coordination among tasked units. Working hand in hand, Medical as well as Search & Rescue Team gave first aid treatment to mock-up trauma victim at SM City Marilao. 

SM City Marilao’s Emergency Response Group (ERG) led various response teams in evacuation, clearing, search and rescue, medical and communication during the recent simultaneous Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. Staged at exactly 2pm, the drill demonstrated various crisis scenarios of a 7.2 magnitude earthquake to drive up public awareness on the proper emergency response during and after this hazard happen. Employees and tenants were evacuated at the open spaces after the simulated earthquake drill at SM City Marilao.
