Brillante Mendoza Engaged Students to Indie Film Making at SM City San Jose del Monte
Students came in droves as the internationally- acclaimed Director Brillante Mendoza gave its first film workshop at SM City San Jose Del Monte. Close to a thousand students participated in the Brillante Mendoza Film workshop held recently at SM City San Jose del Monte.
During the launch the media, bloggers and students had the chance to ask the critically-acclaimed director to ask a few questions. Director Brillante Mendoza gave an in-depth view on Philippine Independent Film Making. In his workshop, he discussed the behind the scenes footages of indie film making that covered the technical know-how and comprehensive aspects including film direction, screenplay, cinematography, acting, production design, and sound and editing.
Mendoza, who is known for his advocacies on tackling social issues, challenged workshop participants’ probing and critical thinking skills while pondering on pressing issues of the marginalized people and its communities.
The Brillante Mendoza Film Festival is a joint project of Centerstage Productions, SM Cinema, SM City San Jose Del Monte and SM City Marilao. It is also a part of Brillante Mendoza’s advocacy to rethink and redefine cinema by sharing his knowledge and experience in filmmaking with the new generation.
Close to a thousand students participated in the Brillante Mendoza film workshop. The next Brillante Film workshop will be held at SM City Clark on August 17 and 18 followed by SM City Olongapo on October.
