TEAM NAKED NANAMAN NAMED RWC PHILIPPINE CHAMPS
New Team Philippines to compete at the World Championships in Korea

The Philippines has its sights set on the international stage as it crowned a worthy representative at the RWC Philippine Leg Finals last June 11 at the SM North Edsa Skydome.
The team of Bernabe Orbeso, Marion Louise Carlos, Ron Aldwin Silvestre, Cris Elmar Barroqui̱a, Von Ryan Castillo, Lorenzo Canlas and Mark Edizon Clemente, collectively known as Team Naked Nanaman, bested 7 other finalists from all over the country to become RWC Philippine Leg Champion. They faced stiff competition as former RWC Philippine Leg champions РTeam Suspects and Team Naked Babies Рwere among those vying for the top prize.
Eight of the best Filipino Ragnarok gamers put their game face on last June 11 for a shot at a national title and a chance to compete on a bigger, global stage.
The final match came down to Team Naked Nanaman and Team Suspects. It was a back and forth battle as both teams tried to finish each other off in the best-of-five final match. In the end, Naked Nanaman defeated Team Suspects 3-2 to win the P120,000 cash prize and the title of Team Philippines.
Naked Nanaman will soon head to Seoul, South Korea on October where they will attempt to do what no other Philippine team has accomplished: bring home the coveted Ragnarok World Championship crown.
Guests were treated to an entertaining cosplay and headgear competition participated by talented Ragnarok gamers.
Over 3,000 online gaming fans trooped to SM North EDSA Sky Dome to root for their favorite teams.
“We're very confident about our chances right now,” says Team Captain Ron Silvestre. “After all that we've been through, we're confident we will win this thing. We just need to stay focused. We're thirsty for victory, so we hope you guys support us till the end. We won't let you down.”
Aside from the exciting tournament action, hundreds of RWC event attendees also got to take home MyPhone mobile units, No Fear shirts, BitDefender anti-virus licenses and shirts, Cheesecake, Etc. gift cards, gadgets from PC Express and lots of rare in-game items from Ragnarok Online.
It was a ROKin Saturday at SM North EDSA when thousands of Ragna-fans cheered for their favorite teams.
