Fans of magic, hold on to your hats as AXN brings you another magical extravaganza this June when Cyril’s Family Vacation: Hawaii Edition airs every Sunday at 8:30PM starting June 10! AXN has once again teamed up with one of the world’s most illustrious magicians, Cyril. A superstar magician in Japan and across the globe, Cyril first wowed Asian TV audiences for the first time with Cyril: Simply Magic on AXN, a three-part special set in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei.

This time round, Cyril is back, bigger and better, and with his family in tow! In this international TV edition of Cyril’s Family Vacation: Hawaii Edition, we are introduced to his family members – Grandma Magi, Uncle Richard and Cousin Tiny - as they embark on a hilarious vacation to the tropical paradise of Oahu, Hawaii.

Magic is clearly in the DNA of Cyril’s family, who are as quirky as they come. Irrepressible Grandma Magi is the matriarch of the family who does not let age slow her down. The adorable old lady more than occasionally gives in to her shopping impulses, and has no qualms about charging them to her grandson, Cyril. Uncle Richard was a notorious Casanova in his younger days and might just have imparted young Cyril a trick or two on chasing skirts. Other than beautiful ladies, he has a soft spot for the high life – golf and cigars – and loves to spend his days teeing off at the golf course. As for Cousin Tiny, his happy-go-lucky nature is the only thing that belies his stature. There might just be a teeny pinch of competition between the two cousins, for Cousin Tiny seems to think that he taught Cyril everything he knew about magic!

Miraculous things happen as the family soak in the sunshine and scenery of Oahu, almost as if Mother Nature had a hand in it. Don’t be surprised to find Grandma Magi wandering off on her shopping escapades, Uncle Richard proving his magical prowess on the golf course or even… Cousin Tiny defying Newton’s law of gravity to… hang off a tree!

What sets this show apart from any other magic series is the storytelling aspect. While typical street magic series has the magician and camera crew approaching a crowd, the executive producers of Cyril’s Family Vacation: Hawaii Edition have taken a distinctly different approach that redefines the genre – hidden cameras. This allows the story to develop organically over six episodes and the amazingly candid reactions make for great TV.
