Intel rolls out online music video-making contest and nationwide road show!

Intel Philippines launched ‘Sing to Win’, a music video-making contest that taps into two beloved Filipino past-times, singing and video sharing on social media sites. The online contest is run on Facebook and is complemented by 2-month long nationwide interactive mall show. he contest encourages participants to show off their talent and creativity through original music videos, for a chance to win notebook computers powered by 2nd Generation Intel Core processors and a home recording and editing studio showcase.

Online Contest

From August 8 to December 1, participants are challenged to create an original music video using any of 22 pre-selected OPM songs on the Intel Philippines Sing to Win Facebook page. The participants may sing, dance, or perform accompaniment to their chosen song, and develop their films using any film style (i.e. flash animation, stop-motion filming, live action, etc.)

To submit entries, participants must register for the contest and upload their videos to the Facebook page on or before December 1. They may submit as many entries as they like, but are only able to win once. Each music video entry must not exceed five minutes, and each participant should be the star of his/her own music video.

Winners will be judged on creative merit and general appeal, as well as technical skill, song rendition and artistic impact. The three best entries will win notebook computers powered by 2nd Generation Intel Core processors and other goodies from Yamaha and Shure.

Judging of entries by members of the Intel team will commence on December 7 at the Intel Philippines office, with the awarding ceremony announcing the prize winners to follow on December 16.

Interactive Road shows

With the participation of Lenovo, Acer, Samsung, Asus and Neo, Intel gets the ‘Sing to Win’ contest on the ground and on the road with nationwide mall shows from August 19 to December 11.

Mall goers will be able to see, touch and feel the latest gadgets from Intel and leading PC brands through an extensive product showcase, live demos and on-the-spot video-editing tutorials. Interested contest participants may also join the ‘Sing to Win’ roadshow contest, in which they sing any of the pre-selected OPM favorites in the ‘Sing to Win’ booth, a mini-stage and music studio featuring the latest audio and video recording and editing technology. They will be asked to incorporate their performance setting of choice into the video recordings of their performance, and edit their own videos in the booth’s experience zone and editing bay. Participants with the most creative and engaging videos will get the chance to take home an Intel-powered PC onsite.
